Christmas, rubbish commerce, lies and the Santa myth

My own view is that the Santa “myth”, rationally speaking, is a lie.

A lie (also called prevarication, falsehood) is a type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement, especially with the intention to deceive others.

To lie is to state something with disregard to the truth with the intention that people will accept the statement as truth.

Lies imposed over years to your own children, promoted by commercial misuse in the name of an artificial material gratitude; as in, the lie is amplified by junk products that are barely useful, and would barely sell in a normal situation.

And as any lie, it diminishes the trust between parties, in this case your own children.

A diminish in trust puts one in the lookout for signs of betrayal; one got lied by the parents in the past, one might find him/herself in a suspicious position wondering when the parents will betray again.

The end of the myth, when children stop believing that some sort of Santa ever existed and it was all lies fabricated by the parents, normally happens at the age of 7/8, right before the start of puberty and teenagehood,

When children first learn how lying works, they lack the moral understanding of when to refrain from doing it. This takes years of watching people tell lies, and the results of these lies, to develop a proper understanding. Propensity to lie varies greatly between children, some doing so habitually and others being habitually honest. Habits in this regard are likely to change in early adulthood.

A parent’s guide to surviving the teen years

When you consider that the teen years are a period of intense growth, not only physically but morally and intellectually, it’s understandable that it’s a time of confusion and upheaval for many families.

Can’t be good or of any help to anyone involved, can it ?

Plus do take in account the fact that the child might believe that by continuous lying, the child will continue receiving material benefits, that lying brings up benefits upon himself, and it is a basic tool to achieve something, to get something, and to get anywhere. What sort of example does that set ?

And it skins your pocket in the process; how many people do fall in debt after Christmas ?

Four in 10 will be saddled with debt after Christmas splurge

Four out of 10 adults expect to end up in debt to fund the Christmas celebrations.

And it will take some people up to seven months to pay back what they have borrowed to buy presents, food and drink, a new survey shows.

Women are more likely to run up debts than men.

The average spend per adult is set to be €562. Irish people are also set to top the spending league in Europe.

Most people will be forced to dip into their savings to fund the seasonal splurge, with one in 10 set to use their credit cards, a new survey commissioned by the Irish League of Credit Unions indicates.

Others are set to borrow from credit unions and from moneylenders.

I think if a holiday of the sort is to be celebrated, it is a family holiday, where the family is meant to gather together for a couple days in the year, talk, enjoy, catch up and get to know each other better.

But even like that, family does not necessarily means that everybody get well along, or have something in common at all, so it is a personal decision to do it or not, not something that has to be done every single year at the exact same date.

The Christian civilization

What people should study is history and learn how and to what end that book was used to – and its effects on the populace in and around it, up to today, including the widespread of prejudice and racism – it is all about violence anyway, starting by the Jew nailed alive to a wood and suspended up to his death.

Three questions on the matter.

1. Why should the Bible be placed in the fiction isle?
2. Where in your opinion; does the reason, ethics and justice that Humanism espouses originate from?
3. Is the Humanist an Atheist? (this is for the other questions I have)

My own reply to the matter.

1. It should not, it should be placed highly in the history section for people never to commit the same mistake again.

2. out of common sense, never do to anyone what you are prepared to have done against yourself, respect originates from that simple concept.

3. Everybody is born an atheist, and will remain so unless prolonged social pressure puts them into a non-atheist position, at any stage of their lives.

To mention two of the many big episodes in Catholic history – Crusades to the east, Enslavement to the west. Abuse of power, pedophilia, brainwashing, possession of faithful lands and money, all in the name of such a fairytale.

Please give me ONE single point about why is any of that depressive and sad shite beneficial, or even useful, to anyone, at all ?

If you have not, please go study some proper, real history not that fairytale, that of course, IF they allow you to. They used to burn such books not too long ago, exactly to avoid people seeing the obvious reality around themselves and turn against them.

It is impressive tho how even after 2000 years they still manage to make people as complete ignorant idiots, in fairytale land, completely away from reality. Disney anyone ?

We are still deep in this never ending shit simply because of what they do to vulnerable people.

Just as a side note, where have you ever seen an educated adult that knows nothing about our very own history, an adult that thinks that everybody but its own religion is wrong and the rest of them (including the arabs) are going to hell, and an adult that instead of thinking by itself, simply obey what its proven 2000-year old faulty (but not consciously, due to the lack of education in our very own history) doctrine tells to ?

Seriously ?

It is not as if we are a big thing anyway, we can not go far, we are pretty much trapped in this sphere and if not in the spheres just around us (as our life span would not allow us to go any further), we are enslaved to time according to the beat of our hearts, same heart ever animal in the same sphere have, so there is no point giving any high importance to our own existence anyway. All we are doing across time is adapt to specific points of the planets, consume its resources and fight for territory, like every other animal do.

Blindfolded Christians would normally answer,

‎What vulnerable people like me do you speak of? what shit are we in? and please what fairy tales do you speak of ?

That says it all, as I mentioned before, keep sticking your finger to your ears, closing your eyes, and singing “lalala”.

According to natural selection, as soon as all that crap goes down, people like that have not a chance of surviving, unless they though up – which is the natural way, they way it should be, the way it should have been, not the way it is now of sympathy for with the intent of milking the weak.

The only assertion I made is that Theists are made to be like children, children of God, thus they are not fit enough to become part of natural selection. Everything, everybody is constantly improving, and theists are going the exact other way around, in the name of other people’s profits.

Can’t you see the link of it to the modern capitalist world at all, where people are made to do what they are told to, that culture is easy and simple and never improves, and so the list goes on ?

Can’t you see that you are blocking improvement and progress at base level, thus screwing us all, all out of the ignorance this scarecrow-like profit seekers impose you from the day you are born, to make sure the schema will never (2000 years so far) go out of line ?

How hard is it to actually see what is it really going on around you ?

Just to make clear, you can not fool nature for that long. That is when civilizations rise and decline. The Christian one is in its verge to fall, with all the crap associated/inherited/created by it.

Do you completely deny that we in the west live under Christian values, that no political party have tight Christian affiliations, that the value of selling shit, thus un-educating the masses because it is easy to gulp, in the na.me of its own profit is an old time Christian value, that racism comes from the fact that we are made the image of God, thus if something do not exactly looks like us, it was not made special by god, thus it is of no value like any other animal (see enslavement in the Americas), that celibacy leads to pedophilia thus sexual icons become young girls with nearly children-like body, and so the venture goes on ?

If so, I suggest you to live outside of the west for a few years to see that values are not one, but many, and what is taken for granted through induction for you, is the exact opposite for others ? Yet, we are all human, living in the same sphere, sharing it with other animals and forms of life, but since Christians, Theists think they are the image of God and so special, they are not happy enough to brainwash and oppress their own, but think the entire world should be modelled after them ?

Seriously, do you need any more examples ?

I am in Europe, and that is where all this shit started; we know our history, and believe me, it is nothing to be proud of – it is something to learn from and never do the same mistakes again.

Islam and the Middle East, decline was cause by the Crusades, same still happen today.

They are the ones that created calligraphy, mathematics and modern astronomy, all of them which have arabic-like names, and we robbed it from them.

Religious formal education goes beyond bible education, the simple form of sitting in tables around scriptures was robbed by Rome from the Jews, thus it spread as a Christian norm. Catholics took the African out of their land and shipped them on the worse of the boats to work as slaves on plantations, sold them by looking at their teeth to see if they are healthy or not, like a horse. Learn history.

Pedophilia is embed in Catholicism due to celibacy, they lost their reproductive lives and are looking to go back to the beginning. or have you never, as a man, felt lustful for whatever is near, when deprived of any form of dual sexual contact for long ?

Children are also easily scared and weak, thus an easy prey. Royal wedding, the British are protestants, not Catholics.

AND the Royal Family have no more political anymore, they are in fact leeches giving jobs to the likes of Hello Magazines and living off the money of a bankrupt country, Britain.

This chapter of history is yet to end, while people still get trapped perpetuating this rubbish.

The Venerable Pope John Paul II

The origins of the papacy are dubious. “Call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven”, said Matthew 23:9, yet Pope derives from the Latin Papa (father).

Historically, the Pope is typically an old man well past normal retirement age. It’s not a position that anybody fresh from University can fulfill. Previous experience in the Catholic hierarchy is not mandatory. The last non-Cardinal elected Pope was Urban VI in 1378.[1]

The “Venerable” Pope John Paul II (Polish: Jan Paweł II, Latin: Ioannes Paulus PP. II, Italian: Giovanni Paolo II), born Karol Józef Wojtyła (pronounced [ˈkaɾɔl ˈjuzɛv vɔi̯ˈtɨwa] ( listen); 18 May 1920 – 2 April 2005) served as Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of Vatican City from 16 October 1978 until his death over 26 years later. [2]

Everyone knows that Pope John Paul II suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. It not only caused him to shake uncontrollably, but it also caused him to come close to death more than once. Among the many symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, however, are paranoia and depression. Most people are unaware of these, but their impact on a pope cannot go overlooked.

Because Parkinson’s Disease affects the production of brain chemicals, it shouldn’t be surprising that it can also influence a person’s moods and ability to think clearly, yet most people still don’t associate symptoms like depression, hallucination, delusions, or paranoia with the condition.

If the pope is depressed he may become unusually tired, find it difficult to concentrate, and have exceptionally negative thoughts about his church. If the pope is hallucinating he may start seeing people who aren’t there and hearing voices that aren’t there — perhaps attributing them to God, Mary, or angels. A delusional pope will be utterly convinced of the truth of complete falsehoods. A paranoid pope will think that people are out to get him and do him harm.

There are evidently signs that some of these symptoms had begun to affect Pope John Paul II. A close aide to the pope informed John Cornwell that John Paul “gets depressed if he does not have something to look forward to.” There were also many reports of his having developed quite a temper when he didn’t get his way.

What can be done about a psychotic pope? Nothing, unfortunately. There is no one in the Catholic Church who has the authority to say that the pope should be happier, isn’t really seeing what he claims, hasn’t really being talking to God or Mary, and doesn’t really know about genuine plots to get him. There are medications that can relieve some of these symptoms — Prozac for depression and quetiapine for psychosis — but any drugs that might be used can make the motor-control problems of Parkinson’s even worse. [3]

A psychotic Pope, which was then replaced by Pope Benedict Hitler Youth.

Benedict XVI is the current Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, as well as the first German pope in a number of centuries. Before becoming Pope, he was known as Joey Rats Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, which is the modern name for the same Office in the Curia which was once known as the Roman Inquisition. Cardinal Ratzinger was well-known as a fanatic about doctrinal orthodoxy, putting him in a league with such apologist superstars as Josh McDowell and R.C. Sproul. Ratzinger was so ideologically conservative that he earned the nickname “Doctor No.” Between that, and a stint as a young child in the “Hitler Youth,” also led many to refer to him as the Nazi Pope. [4]

Scandals involving priests who have sexually abused children have been a source of many problems for the Roman Catholic Church. Arguably worse than the sexual abuse, however, are the cover-ups and conspiracies of silence that have been found in the highest reaches of the Catholic hierarchy – even perhaps up to Pope John Paul II. What did the pope, John Paul, have to do with all this?

Under John Paul II, local bishops’ power and authority had been limited; he often acted as though he were the bishop of each diocese while the actual bishops are little more than his assistants. By treating the bishops as “middle managers,” that’s exactly the sort of management style that John Paul encouraged — and with disastrous consequences.

Jason Berry and Gerald Renner write in Vows of Silence: The Abuse of Power in the Papacy of John Paul II, available on Amazon.com:

“The greater problem was the bishop’s pathology of lying and John Paul’s failure to confront the sexual secrecy honeycombed through ecclesiastical governing. The Roman Catholic hierarchy showed no maternal grace. Bishops and cardinals, lacking children of their own, had coddled child molesters in a weird parody of incest.”

Consider Pope John Paul’s first statement on the reports of child molestation by priests:

“As priests we are personally and profoundly afflicted by the sins of some of our brothers who have betrayed the grace of ordination in succumbing even to the most grievous forms of the mysterium iniquitatis at work in the world. Grave scandal is caused, with the result that a dark shadow of suspicion is cast over all the other fine priests who perform their ministry with honesty and integrity and often with heroic self-sacrifice. As the Church shows her concern for the victims and strives to respond in truth and justice to each of these painful situations, all of us…are called to embrace the ‘mysterium Crucis’ and to commit ourselves more fully to the search for holiness.”

As John Cornwell points out with regard to the above, John Paul showed more concern with the effect the scandal has on the church than the effect on the children. He was “afflicted” by the sins of other priests; merely “concerned” for the victims. Priests betrayed their vows of ordination, but there is nothing here about any other betrayals — like trust that a child has for their priest.[5]

Scottish comedian Billy Connolly brilliantly spoke about John Paul II, in the end of this brilliant clip taken from his Live DVD “Was it Something I Said“, filmed during the Australian leg of his 2006 World Tour.
